Even for Somerville, this is a crazy Primary election season.
We have State Reps and Senators running unopposed except for Carl Sciortino, who didn't make the ballot. And we have a county race where the only person on the ballot has resigned his post and six are seeking nomination for his seat. So it is our view that every vote counts, as these races might go down to the very last ballot.
Your vote counts, so vote for Carl Sciortino, the write in candidate for state rep and the incumbent. He has consistently taken up the causes we champion as Somervillians. He has battled state agencies to get the basics (and more) we are due at Foss Park; He has championed our cause for lower city taxes when it comes to boosting state aid in the legislature; He has worked on behalf of those seeking senior housing; He has seen victories with the Buffer Zone Bill protecting womens' access to health care; He has championed the right of all to marry; and has helped our schools in raising awareness of districts with transient students.
